|While the so called high culture asks
about the impossibility to give a value to holy art in this century,
Federico Cozzucoli, the creator of Gloria, focus on the problem of holy
asking provocatively the audience. In this way he interprets again
Saint Paul's words: "You have taken off your old self with its
practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in
knowledge in the image of its Creator. Christ is all, and is in all"
(Col 3,9b-10.11b). The images are mystic and pop at the same time and
they hide different meanings. We can find a world full of tender
emotion or a higher level, that wants to provoke with respectful
violence to shock our sleepy consciences because we ask ourselves if
and why the holy must have a meaning. The mystic light becomes the
light of art in the same way art can be light of life.
